Blondie's
We have long had member requests for a trip out
to Blondie's in Arrowbear. I have eaten there three
times, by now, and always thought the food is
pretty good. So please join us for dinner at
Blondie's on Wednesday October 12, at 6 pm.
This will be a driving adventure as much as a dining adventure. Take Highway 18 through Running Springs, and past the handful of establishments that make up Arrowbear. Go around the big rocks, and look for Blondie's on your right. If you reach the turnoff to Green Valley Lake, you just missed it, so go back about 0.3 miles.
They seem inept at some aspects of running a business. I applied for a local's card ages ago, and it never arrived. The phone number posted all over the Internet is disconnected, giving the impression that they have folded. But they are actually doing well, and answer to (909) 867-9000. None of the map services (Google, Mapquest, Yahoo) can show an adequate map for Blondie's. The restaurant seems to be surviving on the strength of good food, local reputation, and reasonable prices.
